Mắm Kho Quẹt – Stewed Fish Sauce
Mắm kho quẹt served with burnt rice- Literal translation is Spread or scratch Stewed Fish sauce – we use the burnt rice to scrape up the sauce.
It’s one of my favorite dish as a kid it’s only on rare occasions we get to eat it. It’s in one of the chapters. I had different versions of it on my recent trip to Vietnam…alas they were not as delicious as Grandma’s.
